Today I heard about a grand wedding of an Indian tycoon (Ambani's son) from a friend of mine, and he showed me some videos of it too. He said famous and powerful people from around the world have been invited to it, and the cost of the event was going to be several Billions (of Indian Rupees or USD, I don't know). If you think about it, India is a country with a higher population of substandard living conditions. There are innocent and miserable children who are forced to work for a mere subsistence, being deprived of education, health facilities, and food and water. I remember a movie based on a true story in which Akshey Kumar was playing the leading role where he makes sanitary towels (pads) for poor women who could not afford it. In such a country, a single wedding event spends billions of money. What a crappy world we are living! You could imagine how much wealth this family has amassed. මා මීට දින කිහිපයකට පෙර දීර්ඝ වශයෙන් රේඩියෝ විකිරණය ගැන ලියා තිබේ. රේඩියෝ විකිරණයෙන් තාප උත්සර්ජනයක් පේශි තුල ඇති විය හැකි බවත්, ඉන් ප්‍රෝටීන් විකෘති වී ඌනතා රෝග ඇති විය හැකි බවත් අද විද්‍යාවෙන් හොඳින් තහවුරු කර ඇති මතයකි.
මෙම කුඩා ලිපිය ලියන්නට හේතුව මීට සුලු වෙලාවකට පෙර මා පෞද්ගලිකව ලබපු අත්දැකීමකි. එක්තරා රූපවාහිනි වැඩසටහනකට ප්‍රේක්ෂකයෙක් ලෙස මා සම්බන්දවීමට එක දිගටම පැයක් පමණ එම වැඩසටහනේ ටෙලිෆෝන් අංකය මාගේ ජංගම දුරකතනයෙන් (3G නොවන දුරකතනයක්) ඩයල් කරමින් සිටියා. ලයින් බිසි නිසා දිගටම ට්‍රයි කළා (එක දිගටම 200 වතාවකට වැඩිය කෝල් අරන් තිබේ). එහෙත් පැයක් විතර ගිය පසු ෆෝන් එක රඳවාගෙන සිටි අතේ ඇඟිලි සියල්ලම පිච්චෙනවා සේ දැනුනා. මෙම ලිපිය ලියන මොහොත වන විටත් එම දැවිල්ල තරමක් අඩුවෙන් දැනෙනවා. මීට හේතුව අනිවාර්යෙන්ම රේඩියෝ විකිරණය නිසා ඇති වූ තාප උත්සර්ජනයක් විය යුතු යැයි සිතේ.

I am writing this short English version of the above Sinhala post in case somebody who can't read sinhala text happens to visit this page.
Today I kept dialing a certain busy telephone number continuously (in order to join in a tv program), and after an hour or so, I felt my fingers where my cellular phone was held kind of burning and tingling. I am positive I felt so because of thermal dissipation due to RF radiation. I could of course do the same to double-check it, but I am reluctant to do so consciously, and I do urge you not to try it yourself. However, if you have had this same kind of experience someday before, please let me know with a short description. It would help my studies.
