Today I heard about a grand wedding of an Indian tycoon (Ambani's son) from a friend of mine, and he showed me some videos of it too. He said famous and powerful people from around the world have been invited to it, and the cost of the event was going to be several Billions (of Indian Rupees or USD, I don't know). If you think about it, India is a country with a higher population of substandard living conditions. There are innocent and miserable children who are forced to work for a mere subsistence, being deprived of education, health facilities, and food and water. I remember a movie based on a true story in which Akshey Kumar was playing the leading role where he makes sanitary towels (pads) for poor women who could not afford it. Dear Sri Lanka Section Member,
CSSL as an associate organization of BCS the Chartered Institute for IT Sri Lanka Section is organizing a dinner dance for the ICT industry in Sri Lanka. They are offering a special rate for BCS Sri Lanka Section Members and you are kindly requested to get involved in this event.
Key points are as follows:
Dinner Dance is on the 30th of October, at Cinnamon Grand, from 8pm onwards
Live music with Gypsies
Tickets are being sold at 7,500 each, but for members of sister organisations such as the BCS, the ticket would be available at 6,500. Would be great value for money since they are giving a bottle of Chivas Whiskey, Absolut Voda, and Red Wine to each table of 10.
There are a few prizes and surprises on offer as well.
